01/ How did you get into HR and Recruiting?
Originally I wanted to be an event planner with a specialty in employee engagement and company team building. I guess im a sucker for a good trust fall. Ive always enjoyed getting to know my coworkers eventhough I was more on the shy side earlier in my career. I never felt closer to my coworkers than when we would go for food or drinks after a long shift at work. Reminscing about the job that would occupy 1000's of hours of our life and the one major common denominator that bridged us all together. This eventually led me to a staffing/recruiting role for a catering company in Encino, CA that expanded into a full HR position. There is where I found a foundation to grow my Social Swans wings and learned how to take flight.
02/ What do you love about HR and Recruiting?
I was first launched into HR and recruiting to fulfill a company vacancy while I waited for a different position but I stayed because of my love for people, my fascination to understand human behavior & interactions and my devotion to the hospitality industry, specifically Food & Beverage and Events. I live for good food, a perfectly crafted cocktail or glass of red wine and live music in the background to complete the day. I have an innate passion for wanting to give people opportunities to succeed and to help usher them through that path to success. I create CONNECTIONS and BUSINESS RELATIONSHIPS with individuals/employees which is key to retention and employee satisfaction. I do this by personally seeking out these individuals special skills and developing these skills through alignment with company goals.
03/ What do you intend to accomplish with Social Swans?
Social Swans is meant to provide both business and personal resources for employees and employers to better understand themselves and their organization in efforts to create lasting workplace synergy. We're all here for the same cause at the end of the day. Work hard and live a happy life.

Its very common for employers to struggle with figuring out their HR needs and finding the right fit for their positions. Its also very common for staff to feel unheard or burned out. My goal is to use the experiences I've had in my HR and Recruiting background to bridge the gap. Happier employees and Happier Employers.

04/ What's on the agenda next for Social Swans?
Well, I'm always jumping into something new. Right now, my focus is on building my hospitality recruiting firm through recruitment and networking events. With the world getting back to normal, I think the workplace looks very different which means there's a whole new way to connect with staff and I intend to be at the forefront of knowing what employees and employers are seeking.
